Omi Plate

Yinka Iloris graphic and brightly hued OMI PLATE is inspired by the Yoruba word omi meaning water. Looking at the history of London’s Royal Docks and the deliveries of Caribbean barrels of rum, sugarcane, coffee, tobacco and so much more, this colourful artwork celebrates the exchange of cultures and the oceanic routes the ships would sail.
